Words From The Heart
Words From The Heart

This day in history
salutes the best of our land.
From the pride of the past
to the present at hand.
With no future planned
they lived their own lives.
They lived day to day
and for fun they connived.
Then they grew to the age
to be all they can be.
To protect their home land
from their hearts so proudly.
The hearts of past veterans
leave the spirit of pride.
Their brave stories of honor
inspire the young to decide.
The present day soldiers
are defending our home.
They risk their own lives
as they fight for freedom.
The few, the proud, the Marine Corps
Army, Navy and Air Force~
from our hearts we say thank you
for the strength they have enforced.
For this God blessed America
their lives so many gave.
For the land of the free
and the home of the brave.
