Invisible Words
i once thought of an imaginary word
no one could spelled or speak.
How i thought i was clever
as i walked through the waist high grass
dragging my foot like a question mark
behind me to my childhood home
what a silver spoon was i
in the dream moon of my joy.

How i smiled as i readied for sleep
as i thought up the dictionary
of another world with my imaginary words
were the names of this world
could not touch or breach--
and the fists of rage and bitterness
could not reach into the veil of creativity--
and wrote it all up in the invisible
folds of my soul with the quill of my heart
and sobbed at the end in the mystifying darkness.
when i realized no one would believe
that i wrote it or formed in
blockhead labor from me--
and so this strange world
remains hidden unshared
in the stoic lump of my throat
never to be released
and only a few lost notes
hum its stories and peek glowing
into the blankness of days..

Sing your songs poets for the time is short and regret is long cunning dragon plotting in the shadows of craft.....
