Werepoem
i hunt poems
through the dark woods
of dictionaries.
How you hide from me.
i can recognize your pawing footprints
as they evade between the spirals
trees of imagination pathways
to other poet's word stained houses.
Even if i caught a poem.
i would not know what to do with it
for a poem is a white elephant
with prodigious hunger for the soul.

How it feasts on the small
harvest of my inwardness.
How is it that when i corner you
i seemed more empty than before?
As you swallow with gentleness my peace
one day i shall not hunt you
for in the long legends of ancient days
when monstrous poems
have totally emptied me
of creativities subsistence
the lifeblood of words beauty
trapped me in the labyrinths
with the minotaur of poetry..

i shall be enraptured
in the metamorphosis of moonlight.
i shall transform into a werepoem:
with words for sinews, lines for muscles,
swift stanzas for organs,
i shall howl with the furry of metaphors
with fangs of gleaming images
i shall bite with sutile jaws of kindness
and other poets shall hunt for me
as i hunt for them in the dark
tangles of language.

Who is the hunter now, and who is the prey? Or maybe there is no prey, but only beneficiaries...
Great analogy, wild metaphors, Andrew, this is splendid work!!!
