Casting Light
My mind is dim
throws no light
as my feet drag
in their ten toed perspective.
i always stumble down
the paths of this world
missing the griffins and the unicorns
that await me in the mazes of my dreams...

i do not see the future
my heart ever seems
to somewhere else
and my mind is slow to glean..
Why is it that my heart grows
beyond the roots of my mind....
“Brothers”
i tell the dancing foxes of my virtue
as they scamper to find luscious grapes
in swaying fields that have never known plow...

In my cloister of my patience
i do not understand why
your voice seems to be hidden
in every fork and turn in stone strewn paths
your lips whispers always find me
no matter how lost i choose to be
how impossible harmonies hide
in the bending of my perspective....

The moon seems to veil
my desire in the pure moonlight
of otherworldly silk luminous
beaming and i do not cast
any light of my own to reflect
the mirror of my love....

Marvellous poem, Andrew! The light... the unicorns... the harmonies... A dreamlike state of love - let it touch your reality.
