The Pursuit Of Wisdom
You say that my thinking is fuzzy
like a silly caterpillar of logic
and that my beliefs are nothing
but non sequiturs
but i always seem to follow yours...
i only smile
as your gracious humming birds
with their heart-beating wings
of Argumentum Ad Hominem
buzzs me and the quiet pools
of my amusement flows,
in the inelegant simpleness of jar
of my lacking being

i am sorry that i am unintelligent
that my soul mispronounces and misspells words-
that the sentences that i see in this world

They are but awkward mirrors of opposition
to the brilliant paragraphs you see in your world...

i am sorry that i indulge in non sequiturs
they just drip from the lips of my mind
like confused grasshoppers--
if only my skin was thicker
and my mind was quicker
your mind is so uppercase
and mine is only stumbling lowercase.

i only know that those letters and words
live somehow beyond the grammar
with its algebraic glamor
that you see in the world.
For i see only some inexpressible harmony
its verbiage is confusing to me--
such thoughts ruin my humbleness..

i am a dolt but never would
i use my words to hurt
for i realize that in me
there is no wisdom except the ones
words make in me
if only if i could have
your tongue and your mind
but regrettably
i am trapped within, with only mine....

I love the irony in this poem :) Lucky me that I am born with another tongue and I am not able to see your misspelings and misspronounces, that my mind perceives only the beauty and the exquisite ideas and metaphors. Actually, I believe that stricly logic and mathematical thinking can but keep us apart from creation, from what I believe to be the next step on the humanity evolution scale: Homo Spiritualis.
