Inside The Meaning Of Winter
Inside the meaning of Winter
the woman breathes,
as her words warm me
as they rush down the jars
of my ears
far in the chambers of my memories.
the touch of her long eloquent fingers
and the brush of her tresses.
Sometimes even my lips remember her kisses
and the warmth of her body
in spaces beyond her caresses--
the blush of her cheeks--
as the snowflakes echo out over the skies
and sparkle like minuscule castles
in the limbs of the trees
and spy on us and report us
as lost wandering calligraphy
to winter windmill that turns
somewhere high in the chambers of clouds
that has been turning whirling
since the foundation of the world
we are buried in snow banks
of eons as we embrace,
as the phantom children of crystal labyrinths
with their lace of lattices
dance around us in supernal glory,
as we superimpose and shiftshape
into eachother.
Oh how your heart
can transform you into such
a strange beast.

The imagery written into your words is breathtaking Andrew. The depth of your love is the inspiration for this poem. "as we superimpose and shift-shape
into each other."....incredible line.

This is marvelous...and I agree, "Oh how your heart
can transform you into such
a strange beast"...perhaps this is the real you that only a true love will ever see.

I love this... *sigh*

Extraordinar! You never cease to amaze me. Your metaphors carry such power yet such sweetness... You are one who knows what poetry is.
