At The Crossroads
i met a sweet angel once
at ominous crossroads
in a land of perplexing
roads and crossways.
An angel sitting on a huge
white stone of great antiquity
tears glistening shinning
as they ran.
The Angel's supernatural tears
then did splash
into the waving trembling grass.

“Sweet angel” i did ask
"what is the mystery of your tears?"
and then this odd angle answered:

“I cry for a poor lost creature”
that was the angel's answer.
“i will help you find this creature
even if i must to travel many lands
searching caves and mountains
and unknown realms
beyond imagination.” i did offer..
The angel just cried more tears...
interweaving the morning grass with sky.
What do you cry about
now my dear angle?" i did ask.
“I cry for the lost creature--
for it is cruel in its
many pitiless ways and stratagems”
wept the angel in reply...

“Kind angel give me
a glowing sword
to find and light the path
and in my seeking i shall surely
slay this nefarious beast--
repay it for its nature,
and free the troubled lands,
from the furry of its ravages...
...and also to stop your tears
my dear angel.”
i did pledge.

The angel of splendor
just cried more tears
silver spheres that turned
the swaying grasses golden
“what is wrong mysterious angel?.”
i did implore in my unknowing question.
“I cry for the creature
that it cannot recognize itself.”
was the beautiful angel’s answer.
