Tumbling from the Apex
I must be in four spaces at once,

each equi-distant, too distant each,

to stop the tumbling apex intentions

of all who shuffle house of card dreams

out of expectations slighted hand.

I am not a goddess, nor heroine

if it is one that they seek rather,

my feet move in one way, hands another

as my parallel, paralyzed body stands

teetering in the doorway unsure of its steps.

Briefly the moment comes to visit my mind

that I may not truly be a member of this,

the circus act of the century,

instead I am just the face in the crowd

who knows the sound of two hands placed together.

Now you have done it. Just when I think I have found my favorite and best of your work, you do another. Uncanny how reading you finds me in the mirror...To this portrayal of my usual day, I might add that as I age, my costume becomes brighter and my legs and hands learn to do even more ...hear the sounds of three hands clapping? joia
