Transcendental Prairies

Around the eves & arbors
of the old white picket house.
You whisper to me as the ancient oak
curves its limbs around the victorian planks,
hammered with wise square iron nails,
caressing the chambered walls of the house
in the midnight winds the branches mend,
the spaces between the measureless nets of stars--

you send me love letters
inscribed on the dents, ribs & capillaries,
of the red swirling leaves.
In the moonlight i squint,
trying to make out your script
& read the strange cursive words
you write with your transparent lips--
that gently kiss the smooth corners of my limitations--

In my living emerald-dreams What poems
you send me from the infinite vales beyond sunlight.
In what surreptitious transcendental prairies --
do you wait in now?
commingling with yesterday and today, roaming
between the question marks of planets--

Your face veiled in the ceremonies of forgetfulness.
i only see your braids & rays
of your long hair & the twin green fire
of your soul's chalice that flicker like perplexing fireflies
beckoning next to the stone staircase that descends into the past.
i feel the Braille bumps of the cold stone
& on the florid surface i find the elfin serifs of your name.
i think that the moon light has never
forgotten you or your songs
emanating rings serenading beyond the walls of the world...
& So dear one i think about the passages
of the letters of your love
as the calm raindrops descend on the roof
& nimbus of my imagination......
