Why can i find poems in all things but you?
i send my poems by sparrows
but they line their nests
with my misprinted letters.
Trusting in the colder days
foretold in the caterpillars rustling coats.
They hope for
what comfort will come in the winter nights.
For they gain more warmth from these
imperfect pages between the twigs.
Then perhaps you do now....
For the shells of your ears do not hear
the new born birds chirping
in the spirals of my cursive longings.
i send my poems by moles
down into that dark sunless country.
With their sharp curving nails.
Beyond the sunlight of your voice.
They caress the earth into labyrinths
of sightless beauty.
Beyond the sound waves The rays of your voice
do not speak to the blind grace of my misspelled messengers
so They burrow deep.
i send my poems by Raccoons
but they drown them.
Washing their hands to read them,
by the banks of wisdom creek.
Free alphabets slowly swimming to the sea
to feed the fish of consciousness.
But you cannot taste them singing in the future’s rain
for your heart has lost its sense of taste.
for sweet things.

i send my poems by Butterflies
painting verses on their wings.
Creating quiet symmetries of desire.
That rustles in their wing beats.
When i let them go to flutter to you.
Your eyes cannot see them
for the snows of your disinterest
have come to freeze them into cubes.
Like a Torch burning in a blind land.
my heart self consumes.
Why can i find poems in all things but you?

Amazing poem. It is admirable how can you put utter despair into these exquisite words. ~Heike

Wonderful. This is another striking example of giving words and vision to deep thought and emotion. Each one of your poems is another gift of imagery. Thank you!
