Throne Of The Moon
Little fox running
in the dark stained night.
Beyond the eyesight of mortals
slumbering in their little houses
of white washed ignorance
with their pacing shoes
of spite & cruelty waiting to be awoken.
Do you scamper in your innocences,
or in your surreptitious wisdom?

In what secret garden do you stalk
to taste the glowing berry unfolding
on topiary of second sight
& with your quick tongue.
Taste with delight the fruit of paradise
Prophesy as the stars
plot their wars against the clouds.
The storms store up their creaking spears
and flaming flowing swords of warrior stars
with ancient names are hidden waiting
in the halls of vast blankness. . .

The river whispers & meanders on to dawn
flowing from darkness to newborn sight--
Follow me she says
then runs to a distant sea.
Many wonderous and hidden things
with your fox eyes see as you romp between
transparent crystals symbols of midnight
as a strange and mysterious conflict
rages in the heavens...

May your songs
well formed circles echo
wafting like dragonflies
to the children that wait
with gentile eyes.
within the deep leaves of insight.
May your new discovered poems
go like winds through the arbor
& trellises of beauty.
While the cicadas cover your escape
Run for safety! run for shelter!
under the pale glowing throne of the moon.
