The Helping Hand
As I hunger to reform
Moros poses overhead
It's never enough to open the eyes
The view is bright, they say

As I hunger to reform
The sickness takes another pause
Just to greet me as I find my wings
A starch to paralyze

A chill can move you
But just as far as your darkest corner shows
You're freezing either way

Don't motivate me
Just to castigate me
Intentions pure as they're oblique
Tough as love is, I'm so weak

Don't hypnotize me
Just to proselytize me
I'll never be part of your clan
I'm an incorrigible man

This specter knows I'm a lost cause
If you could see it would you run?
Do I have the words to find solitude?

No refuge in isolation
No respite for aching limbs
Only one poor soul can tell me I'm alive
And he's fucking gone

As I hunger to reform
Moros feeds the ones who maim
It's more than enough to open the eyes
My door's the other way
