The Auld Yin.

My Avatar on this site is a beautiful painting by Karen hull. She is an amazing artist. I wrote this wee poem in gratitude for her unselfish ways and to share with you her amazing skill in producing my portrait which I may add improves my demeanour tenfold.:)
Tribute to The Auld Yin by Karen Hull

7 by 11 inch portrait of The Auld Yin (Alex Gardiner), done with pastels on Pastelmat.

This is my tribute to a wonderful, generous character that many of you may have crossed paths . He brings tirelesss support, encouragement, a charming wit and humour, to so many artists, myself included. When I stumbled upon his wish to have a portrait done by me about a week ago, I was so touched and humbled, and how could I resist the opportunity to repay, in a little way, some of the kindness he has shown to me and others. I don't have the way with words that The Auld Yin does, but hopefully, in this case pictures speak much louder than words!!!
Karen Hull.
