Hopeless Shapes

á

The gulláimagined hisálove dancing, so far away.
Alone andádark,
Cold night air stinging skin,
A frozen rain seeping within.
á
Shadows cast not onáthe sand,
No moon or stars,
Quiet the ocean waves.
The nightáso full of hopeless shapes.

Wonderful job, Rich. So full of desolation, dark images. Perfect description of the lonely hunter. Well done. ML

Just an experiment?...you know they can be so dangerous sometimes, but looks like this one came out just right...I love the haunting quality of this poem... truly a lovely piece.

A very powerful description of bleak lonliness, Richard..Poor lonely gull.. I love those birds..People discount them saying, oh, they're just scavengers..Guess you could say the same for the human race..There is nothing more graceful than a gull, in flight....When they land, well, they specialize in flying, I guess...About the on-site bickering...I have a great way of dealing with it...I remain completely oblivious to all of it.:O)...len

It's nights like this that our imaginations take over to create those shapes! Very nice Rich, nice to see you finding time to write, Joe

Never is the night so cold and full of hopeless shapes as we're lonely and far from the beloved... You describe all this very beautifully!

A melancholy write, dear man~ One of hopelessness and despair, but since it is only an experiment, then so be it~ The poem brings the reader a very bleak visual, of grey tones, and shadows~
Well done, Sir~

Sometimes that distance between the two searching hearts is what brings the hopeless feelings...but if it's meant to be, the night will become full of hope...Stay strong....Hugs!
