This Destiny

As if within a long, unfilled night,
Inside this destiny I feel suspended.
Trembling, but feeling no chill.
Awakened, yet hearing no sound.

No faint radiation perceived,
Only what seems coming from me.
Scanning the distant, narrow horizon,
Constructed of so few words.

Seeking there a wrinkle of emotion,
Within our tenuous currency.
Searching for your wishes within,
The flat black barrens of a book.

Listening for distant movement,
Between the hollow sounds,
Of a muffled, uneven heartbeat.
Fading slowly without its echo.

Eroded by unfathomable time,
I again looked inside for a sign.
Something of comfort lying within shadows.
That glowing, ashen ember is all I've got.

Perhaps you also linger in dreams.
On a moonlit beach, for a sign to assure.
That which your heart has wrought,
Is the true destiny so long you sought.

man, you made me feel that one. Do you have a book out of your poems? If not you should. You are so talented!

Destiny...will we know when we reach it? There are always signs out there, but sometimes the wrong signs are give. I am one that is always trying to find my destiny and figuring out my fate...maybe I try too hard??? We are where we are for reasons, but sometimes the reasons are so vague...life is nothing but a journey...

I only hope with this beauty in words posting, that your pleas are answered~ The heaviness of the lines are meticulously formed to bring the reader to the shadowed feelings that you harbor~ Great work, and presentation~
