The Sand Fiddler

Feel my cool ridges,
See my sharp curves.

All that I have in this life,
Is just under your toe.

Home for my feelings,
Shelter for this soul.

When my heart grows too big,
It's just time to go!

So follow my running trail,
All my constraints are shed.

Know I'll find a new place,
With plenty of room to grow.

Feel my great ridges,
See my new curves!

That ever shifting sand. This was awesome to read. An utter delight and a lovely new perspective on those shifting sands. Sand fiddler. I like that a lot. ~Pam

As I am stationed in this desert so many miles away from home, I get quite sick of the sand...but this poem helps me to realize how much I miss it on the beaches where I'm from..Here it is just dusty and miserably hot. Good poem

A word picture perfectly painted. This is some very nice work, Richard. I really like the way the first and last verses tie it all together. A belated welcome to you - Savanah....
